As a stylists we are often viewing the latest collections and must-have items to keep our clients ahead of the trends. And 100% of the time we find a piece we wish we had in our own closet. But with so many options, what do we actually purchase for ourselves? Each month we will share what we splurged on and where you can get it too!

I have been often labeled the “bag whore” as I have an impulsive obsession with handbags. I figure why not have one of everything, in every color, in every material, and in every size. So when Fendi recently released it Fendi First collection of pouch bags, I had to have one! This pouch is a unique design with the clasp shaped in the Fendi “F” which can also be used at the handle to hold the bag. It comes in multiple colors and materials such as mink fur and python skin. Easily recognizable with the signature “F” this handbag resembles the sought after Bottega pouch this last few seasons, but Fendi elevates the pouch trend by keeping their design simple and chic. Do you see why it was a must-have?

This effortlessly glamours silhouette designed by Johanna Ortiz is every mid-summer night’s dream. Johanna has an eye for details and her designs most often reflect the South American gardens and lush landscapes. The floral patterns bring life to my summer wardrobe, and can carry into the early Fall. Johannas dresses are often so figure-accentuating that anyone who is blessed to wear her clothing, instantly elevates her look and draws the attention of others. Living in the heat of the summer, a light weight, and feminine dress was all I needed to survive and make getting dressed for the day, and easy assignment.

You can’t enjoy summer or any sun for that matter without the perfect hat. Loewes Paula Panama hat was the perfect accessory for my summer travels. I was able to jet-set off to St. Tropez this summer, and received multiple complements on my sun hat. Loewes is the worlds major luxury fashion house, with expertise in leather goods. Hence the leather band around this hat, adding the perfect details to something so simplistic. This beauty is a pretty penny, but worth the buy, as it will be a hat that carries you season into season, year over year.

The summer wardrobe wouldn’t be complete without that perfect matching set. Taking a page out of last years “work from home” vibes, the knit cardigan has carried over, and has continued to be a staple. Not only does a cardigan give you the option to wear a cozy shaped knit with a pair of denim, but the addition of a matching knit bralette has been key to enhancing the overall look. Dress it up with a pair of leather pants, or silk slip skirt, or dress it down with denim, or lounge pants. 2020 changed the way we dress, at least for the time being, and cozy-chic is a whole new category of its own.
