Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet We’ve Been Dreaming Of

For the past 18 months we have been day dreaming of the resort town of Cannes, in the French Riviera with its Boulevard De La Croisette winding along the coast line. Home of the Cannes Film Festival, the most widely publicized events and the most important of festivals in film. While most of us watch from afar, and many don’t actually follow the awards and accolades, it is the couture fashion of the red carpet that draws our deepest and most undivided attention. We have been longing to be reminded of what a glamorous night of gowns, and high jewelry looks like, and the attendees were impressive as ever in this July’s 2021 Festival de Cannes.

Popular face and the most delicate of figures, Bella Hadid stuns in a Schiaparelli custom black gown that exposes her chest. Have you ever thought to wear a necklace as a bra? Hadid impressed the red carpet with a gilded brass necklace to cover her breasts. However this necklace was no original gem of a design, it was shaped into a set of human lungs pulmonary veins also designed by Schiaparelli. Will necklaces as bras become a new trend?

Straight out of a rose garden, Sharon Stone makes a statement in Dolce and Gabbana with non other than their signature floral. The long layered robin blue tulle dress has individual hand made flowers sewn in a draped pattern down her dress. Sophistication and elegance is all she wrote.

We were surprised to see a special appearance by a mermaid herself. Social influencer Tamara Kalinic gave us princess of Atlantis vibes wearing Tony Ward Couture. Tarama joined a slue of some of the most popular Instagram influencers as attendees to this years festival, which was a fresh cup of tea to see relatable women dressed to the nines.

Another influencer made her first impression at her Red Carpet depute, Leonie Hanne. Leonie worn not one, but TWO of the most impeccable gowns ( not to mention the largest) full of volume, and layers, and the most striking of colors. Looking like a pistachio colored swan, her Nicole Felicia Couture gown boasts confidence and grace. Hannes second gown could quite possible be our favorite of the festival. She marveled in a custom Georges Hobeika gown, resembling a golden goddess. Go golden, or go home.
