Investing In A Luxury Handbag

Splurging on a luxury handbag is quite possibly every woman’s dream. We gaze at runway shows, stalk fashion bloggers, and dive our nose into every fashion magazine we can find. All for the purpose of seeking the latest trends. From these sources we are accumulating a (pricey) wish list, hoping we can one day get our hands on the most sought after designer items. Hot on the market daily, handbags. But how do you know what is worth the splurge and what isn’t? Well… first of all it comes from personal taste. You should always buy what YOU love, and not what everyone else does. But there are buys that are worth it, that are an investment, and a handbag you will have for years to come. And with every brand, their is a reason behind the value.

If you are a first time luxury handbag buyer, it is best to stick with a universal handbag. It should be one that you will want to use often, typically can be paired with most outfits, and is a size that fits your needs. If you are looking for a handbag to take with you everyday, a crossbody can be the perfect fit. If you only like to show off you new digs on a night out, perhaps a sleek clutch could do the trick. My first handbag was the Never Full Tote by Louis Vuitton. I feel this is a typical purchase for many women first designer bag, ultimately because of the lower price point, and the universal usage you can get out of it. As it says in the name “Never Full” you could practically pack your life into one of the bags. It also sports the traditional LV monogram leather which is so highly recognizable.

Some of the favorite “first time” purchases would be these handbags.

If you are a collector, and are looking for the WOW, look no further than Chanel. Although Chanel is typically more of a costly handbag that you can purchase on the market today, their value holds true for years to come. Purchase a bag now, and it will be sold as “vintage” to our next generation. Chanel is strategic as you can not go to the website to purchase a bag. All purchases must be made in store, or through a personal shopper. This makes the bags more desirable as they can be difficult to track down. People will be on waitlists and have early access to the newest collections, and get first dibs on the latest styles. Leaving you without a chance to score. But its worth it. The hunt is half the fun, and then rocking that special and unique Chanel on a night out, with every woman head turning to gaze your way…well, you can say that is worth it too. Chanel has a broad range of colors, styles, sizes, and embellishments. As Chanel continues with price hikes for what seems like every 6 months lately, I suggest saving up for this kind of purchase, and getting on a notification list quickly!
